you are the knowing —
not the self that knows,
nor even a self that can know.
the self is only an object,
and can never know.
Knowing is not a doer,
not an entity.
the knower is an error —
only knowing and self,
both distinct: one is mind,
the other object.
if you are the knowing,
there is no “you” in it.
knowing is all there is;
everything rests within its presence.
all there is, is knowing;
all else is merely objects.
you, the comment, the commented.
are all objects within knowing’s field.
you can never step away from knowing,
nor be at the object,
nor return to the knowing —
for you have never left it,
except in ignorance.
nothing escapes knowing.
there is nothing beyond it.
even the thought
“knowing has more to know”
is itself object of knowing.
there is no more, nor less, in knowing.
knowing is everything —
but everything is not knowing.
all is under its presence,
including nothing.
knowing alone is the Nature.
all else —
only the shimmering appearances
of that Nature.
